about

Isabella Palmina is a Scottish-Italian photographer and visual artist, born in Edinburgh, Scotland and currently based in Milan, Italy. With a richly layered background in both fine art and fashion, Isabella’s work moves fluidly between the realms of personal exploration and editorial storytelling.

After obtaining a Master’s degree from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, she deepened her artistic practice, developing a distinctive voice that merges conceptual visual art with a strong narrative sensibility. She also holds a BA (Hons) in Fashion Communication, a discipline that continues to inform the composition, tone, and emotional depth of her imagery. Her experience within fashion is not just a foundation—it’s a vital thread that ties her commercial and personal work together.

Isabella’s photographic language is deeply introspective, often using the body as a vessel to explore themes of identity, belonging, and the fragile interplay between human emotion and natural landscapes. Her lens becomes a bridge between the internal and external, where the relationship between the body and the land is a recurring motif. She often stages her subjects—whether models or herself—within raw, expansive environments that evoke a dreamlike sense of isolation, transformation, and return.

Isabella’s practice blurs the boundaries between fashion and art, creating images that are not only visually striking but also emotionally resonant. She continues to work across editorial, commercial, and independent projects—each infused with her signature blend of sensitivity, storytelling, and visual escapism.
